What are resident assistants?

Resident Assistants (RAS) are university students, usually higher classrooms who take responsibility for life in dormitories or residential halls with students and act as students' supervisors. Resident assistants are assigned on one floor or floor section in a residential hall, with a specified number of students. Resident assistants usually occupy their position as part -time work or help with expenditures on teaching, but work is not for everyone. Assistants with residences have concrete duties, including, but not only, supervision of the dormitory, supervision of activities, advice and encouragement of the population, recovery of rules and walking, stimulation of cleaning and peacekeeping, crisis management and maintaining order among the inhabitants. Resident assistants have ever received derogatory nicknames such as "College Police" or "Tetle Stories", so the work requires a certain level of maturity and strong skin.

Resident assistants are altais known as student assistants , Residential Hall Assistants , Resident Advisors , Community Advisors , and even House Fellows . Assistants of residents often act as a contact between the student body and the administration of the university or university. While resident assistants often have to promote politicians that are unpopular with the inhabitants, they can also explain the rules and regulations to students that the administration could never take time.

Resident assistants are often asked to plan activities that increase higher education experience for residents. They could plan community or volunteer projects around the campus or local city, or they could simply plan regular evenings for pizza and videos. Many resident assistants find that these events support the community and friendship between the inhabitants, which eventually everyone.

Many times, even the simplest tasks for students who first live in college and outside home are for the first time. Resident assistants often find that the experience of leadership learning in residential halls helps them in the labor market as they graduate from college. With everything from advice from a depressive student to negotiations with crime, the assistants of the resident of future leaders who can go into the world and use their skills in much larger circles.
