- Kabaras County Hospital was created to meet society's need for registered nurses during World War II. Cabalas College of Health Sciences was awarded an associate degree in 1995 by the Accreditation Committee of the Southern Association of Colleges and Universities. In 1998, with the authorization of the North Carolina Congress, the Kabala's College of Health Sciences awarded a bachelor's degree. Cabalas College of Health Sciences offers associate degree, diploma and bachelor degree programs.
