- On February 22, 1898, Wang Yaoqun was born in a feudal family in Luocheng Town, Qiwei County, Sichuan Province. Wang Yaoqun's father was a landowner and salt merchant. Wang Yaoqun's father valued sons and daughters. Wang Yaoqun fled to Chengdu with the help of his elder brother and entered Sichuan Provincial Women's Normal School. After graduation, he taught at the school attached to the elementary school.
- Wang Yaoqun was clever from an early age. When he was studying in a normal school, he had excellent grades and was very concerned about the women's liberation movement. At that time, Zhou Taixuan (a famous Chinese scientist) published many articles on women's emancipation in magazines such as "China China" in Beijing, which attracted the attention of Wang Yaoqun. As a reader, he communicated with Zhou Taixuan as "Mr. Zhou Lao". Later, Zhou Taixuan returned to Chengdu, Sichuan, and met Wang Yaoqun through introductions from relatives and friends. Zhou Taixuan and Wang Yaoqun developed love in the discussion from women's liberation to the revitalization of the motherland.
