What does a chemical analyst do?
Analytical chemistry is a field that involves exploring the structure and composition of matter, determining what matter is and how different forms of mass interact and react with each other. Chemical analyst uses scientific, engineering and mathematical principles to solve problems and implementation of chemical research projects. Chemical analysts tend to work in research or industrial sector.
The basic role of chemical analyst is to design, set and perform chemical experiments and analyzes. They must also operate and maintain laboratory equipment, prepare chemical agents for precise specifications and, in addition to designing experiments, perform other support tasks. No matter where they work and their roles, chemical analysts tend to share some common features. Analytical approach to problem solving is a necessary skill and creativity is also a requirement. Laboratory work requires good motor skills and eye coordination, and it is also important to focus on repetitive or tedious tasks. A chemical analyst should also be an effective multi-tasker, as it will often run several experiments simultaneously and work on other tasks simultaneously.
