What Is Contract Learning?
A learning contract is a teaching-learning contract signed between the student and their parents and the school. American futurist Arwin Toffler first proposed it in "The Shock of the Future" in 1970. As society moves towards a knowledge-based hyper-industrial society and people's leisure time increases, highly educated parents can provide part of their children's teaching. Advances in computer-assisted education, electronic video, holographic technology, and other technological areas will clearly contribute to this trend. Students and their parents can sign a study contract with a nearby school, instructing the school to teach certain courses or modules to themselves or their children, while other courses or modules can be taught at home using equipment or taught by parents.
