What Are the Different Causes of Rectal Pain?
Functional anorectal pain is anorectal pain with no evidence of organic disease. It belongs to functional anorectal disease and is not common. Clinically, it can be manifested as recurrent vague dull pain, which lasts for a long time, or it can be expressed as paroxysmal sharp pain, which lasts only a few seconds to several minutes. More common in women, 30 to 60 years old.
