What is the head mirror?

The head mirror is an adjustable concave mirror with a central opening and a secure head strap. This device is used as a tool for collecting and focusing during medical tests. The inner bevelled mirror concentrates light and focuses it directly on the object in direct supervision with the eye of the examiner. The head mirror is primarily useful for lighting dark holes, such as ears, nose and neck, most often used by an otolaryngologist or a doctor specializing in these areas. The head mirror became a symbol of the medical profession, similar to a white laboratory coat and a stethoscope. This is mainly because the head of the doctor can create shadows or completely block the light source when the light source is focused directly on the site, which is too weak to see. The head mirror provides a solution to this problem. After using this medical facility, the light source may be placed next to the patient and the specialized mirror reflects the light back to the examined object without a doctor blocking light path.

During the test, the doctor and the patient encountered their knees in the line and light source focused on the physician from the left side of the patient. The mirror is tied to a medical head with a central opening in a mirror located on one eye, usually the right eye. Adjustments are made by tilting and rotating the mirror so that the light source to the object that needs to be examined. The focused light is brightened into an object in a straight line with the eye in the center of the opening in the head of the head. Mild movements of the head of the doctor can move focused light where in the cavity.

together with a white laboratory coat and a stethoscope, Head Mirror became a classic symbol of a medical profession. It looks like a special permanent symbol, because this device is now usually used only by otolaryngologists, and most of the current patients have probably never seen personally personally, let alone be examined during the medical exam. PFor a hundred years, the drug was not as specialized as today and the head mirror was a tool that often relied on diagnostics.
