What is a fracture?

Fracture occurs when a crack exists anywhere on the lunat bones found in the human wrist. This type of injury may occur due to direct trauma - car accidents are common causes of fracture fracture - or fall, because many people are inclined to serve their hands during the fall. The fracture of this bone may be painful and slow healing and delayed diagnosis and treatment can lead to a condition known as osteonecrosis, which is essentially the death of bone tissue that leads to weakening or failure of the bone itself. When an impact or pressure is developed on the bones, a fracture or crack may occur. The severity of this fracture may vary significantly and the pain and swelling associated with injuries may also vary according to severity. The X -ray is usually ordered to find out whether the Adošlo fracture and in some cases can also be used MRI.

treatment of lunate fracture will vary. If the bone is not a transitionList or moved from the position, a cast and hand can be placed on the wrist to immobilize it for several weeks or even months, allowing a fracture to heal itself. Severe lunate fracture injuries may require surgery to resolve the relocated bone. The screws can be used to secure the bone back together, which may prolong the healing time of injury, as well as the amount of pain that the injured person will feel. Painkillers and/or anti -inflammatory drugs are likely to be prescribed after surgery to help handle pain and swelling.

If the fracture of madness is not affected, a state known as osteonecrosis may occur. Limited blood flow to the damaged bone can lead to cellular death in this bone and costly weaken the bone. This can essentially lead to the death of bone, which means that further surgery will be necessary to either remove the damaged bones completely or re -exploded to support new cell growth. Long -term damage can be painTive and can reduce the mobility in the wrist as well as the overall strength and health of this essential joint. Early diagnosis and treatment can prevent osteonecrosis.
