What is a protruding disk?

The protruding disc is a disk in the spine that has herniated, which means that the soft material that is usually on the inside of the disk has pushed the weak point in the connective tissue that usually surrounds the disk. Many symptoms may be associated with a protruding disc, including back pain, dullness, tingling or general changes in feelings in the body associated with the nerves that pass around the discussion. There are several treatment options for a protruding disc, depending on the severity of the problem and the patient's condition. They occur when a soft, striking material inside the disk, known as the core of the pulposus, pushes against a weak point or tears in the fibrosis of the ring, the outer layer of the disk. While the material does not actually bite from the disk, at least in the early stages, it causes a characteristic lump. A pressure on the nerves in this area, causing significant feelings in the body associated with these nerves. Because normal nerve signaling is interrupted, the patient can feel warm, cold, prickly feelings or numbness on the skin, even if these pocITY actually does not occur. The protruding disk can also cause back pain, especially in certain positions, and may prevent the patient's movement to cause considerable pain.

The most common is the protruding disk in the lumbar spine, and for some reason it seems that the discs of the discs occur early in the morning. This may be due to a change in the position caused by people entering from bed, or it may be related to changing fluid levels in the pulposus core that causes a particular time to become more vulnerable to herniation. The protruding disk can be seen in the study of the medical display X -ray, allowing the doctor to identify the problem and measure the size of the protrusion to determine how serious it is.

Sometimes a protruding disc can be mastered by medication to treat pain along with physical therapy. Some patients benefit from acupuncture, chiropractite and other forms of complementary medicine. In other cases may beIt is necessary to perform the spine surgery to repair the problem and a correction disk to reduce the risk of protrusion in the future.
