What Is an Aspergilloma?

Common aspergillus aspergillus flavus x = 4 (a.nidietans), semi-known fungi, a common saprophytic fungus of the Aspergillus flavus group. More common in moldy grains, grain products and other moldy organic matter. The colony grows fast, the structure is loose, the surface is gray-green, and the back is colorless or slightly brown. The mycelium is composed of many complicated branched hyphae; Aspergillus is widely used for detection of Aspergillus Bio-Rad Aspergillus Antigen (PlateliaTM Aspergillus Ag). [1]

Aspergillus

Vegetative bacteria [2]
Aspergillus spp. Accounts for about 12% of the fungi in the air. It mainly uses dead plants, animal excrements, and animal carcasses as nutrition sources, and it is parasitic
Conidia scattered in the air under favorable conditions
Antiaspergillus
Fluconazole: Poor efficacy against Aspergillus, but has the advantages of fewer side effects, good intraocular migration and long half-life. Mixed injection with miconazole, the effect is additive. The drug can be used for intravenous drip, subconjunctival injection, oral and eye drop.
Miconazole: It is more effective against foulconazole than aspergillus, but it has side effects such as liver dysfunction and digestive symptoms. Can be dripped with intravenous drip solution 10 times and then click.
Pimamycin: better for corneal fungal infections. Side effects of topical medications include epithelial growth disorders, conjunctival hyperemia, and blepharitis.
Flucytosine: strong effect, large side effects. Oral
Amphotericin B: strong effect, many side effects, intravenous drip, oral or eye drop. For endophthalmitis can be treated with intravitreal injection. Generally, miconazole is 25-50 micrograms, and amphotericin is 5-10 micrograms / 1 time.
Due to the differences in the sensitivity of various fungi to drugs, drug sensitivity tests should be performed when conditions permit. Antifungal drugs are selected based on the test results. Generally Aspergillus infections have a better prognosis than those caused by Fusarium infections. Those with poor medical treatment can choose corneal transplant or vitrectomy.
