What is Freund's complete adjuvans?

Freund's complete adjuvant immunopotentiator is a solution that is used to increase the reaction of the immune system to a foreign substance. It consists of inactivated or dried bacteria, usually of mycobacterium tuberculosis or the type of mycobacterium butyricum. Through these mycobacterial ingredients, Freund's complete content of adjuvant antigen helps to improve and prolong the immune response. This adjuvans is sometimes called Jules T. Freund Complete Adjuvans, in honor of American immunologist Jules T. Freund. In order to produce antibodies, a laboratory mammal, such as a mouse or rabbit, is subject to immunization. The immunizing solution contains antigens and adjuvans. These antigens induce immune cells called cells derived from (B) derived from Bursa to proliferation and production of immunoglobulins or antibodies that specifically focus on antigens. The antibodies produced by this process are polyclonal, which means they are derived from different B cells.

There are two types of Freund Adjuvans. FirstM of them is a complete solution of the freeund adjuvant mineral oil. This species is an emulsion of water in oil, locating antigens to release for about 6 months. It also contains a superficial substance called Mannide Monooleteate and mycobacteria killed by heat. The second type is called Freund's incomplete adjuvans does not contain mycobacteria and is less effective.

In general, Freund's complete adjuvans stimulates the immune system in two different ways. First, Freund's complete adjuvant acts as a surface -active substance that allows protein antigens to concentrate on large surface surfaces. Secondly, it increases the amount of antibodies produced in response to protein antigens by extending antibody production time and allowing B cells to become memory cells. When memory cells are present, any subsection introduction of previously injected antigen would stimulate a similar immune response. These actions are poorly postedorthled when the antigen used is not formed by proteins.

Freund's Complete Adjuvans is a very strong agent because it stimulates both cellular and humoral immunity, which means that both antibodies and immune attack cells called cells derived from the thymus (T cells) are mobilized to eradicate antigens. The solution is a toxic agent because mineral oil cannot be effectively metabolized. This may result in granuloma, necrosis, inflammation, induction and injection pain. Multiple exposure to complete adjuvans could lead to serious adverse reactions, reduced immunity and even death.

When using Freund's full adjuvant, all sterile materials should be thoroughly cleaned to prevent contamination and infection. The preferred route is subcutaneous or intraperitoneal. Another injection route could lead to complications. Ulcers and necrosis may be the result of intradermal administration, the death of muscles and limping may be the result of intRamuscular administration and pulmonary embolism may result in intravenous administration.

Freund's Complete Adjuvans is a dangerous substance and is not approved by tests on people. It is harmful when he inhaled and swallowed, and can cause sensitization when contacting the skin. When handling this agent, protective clothing should be worn and the manipulation area should be well lit and well ventilated.
