If you have gonorrhea, the symptoms can go away on your own after about 1 month, but there are also more serious ones. After one month, the disease will not weaken itself, but will become worse, and various complications will accompany it.

- 2. Gram staining of urethral discharge
- > 5 polymorphonuclear leukocytes per field of view
- 3. Morning urine (15ml anterior urine) leukocyte esterase test
- Positive, or white blood cell count> 10 per high-power field.
Gonococcal urethritis diagnosis
- One of the above signs can confirm the presence of urethritis. If Gram staining of urethral secretions reveals the presence of intracellular Gram-negative diplococci in polymorphonuclear leukocytes, a gonococcal infection is diagnosed.
Differential diagnosis of gonococcal urethritis
- Gonorrhea urethritis is easily confused with non-gonococcal urethritis. Nongonococcal urethritis is a gonorrhea-like sexually transmitted disease caused by a variety of pathogens other than gonococci. The more common pathogens are Chlamydia trachomatis and Mycoplasma.
