LSD, a common nickname for lyseromic acid dietylamide, is the most popular hallucinogen in the United States and the strongest. LSD trips can be seen as really good or very bad. Hallucinations that cause can be visual, auditory and tactile, but unpredictable effects on mind may also include illusions and terror. One of the distinguishing factors of LSD is the length of trips that induce, which can be up to 10 to 12 hours. This is a highly dangerous practice because the increased dose is associated with an increased probability of poor effects.

The compound in its research towards a more stable form of lysergic acid-contained dietylamide of lysergic acid, produced in 1938.

LSD-25 did not deal with the problem with the ergot and further testing was not performed. Hofmann created another sample only in 1943, considering that it could have further use. After he accidentally and unknowingly won the LSD on the skin, Hofmann had a pleasant hallucination that day. Determined to clearly identify the source of hallucinations, deliberately enjoyed some LSdo three days later, the first planned LSD trip, but a very bad trip.
