What is a rest pain?
rest pain is consistent burning, tearing, sharp pain or feelings of pain in the lower leg, on the legs or legs caused by ischemia - reduced blood flow - lower legs. The pain begins or deteriorates by heat when you lie or folded on a chair. Sitting, hanging legs or standing can sometimes alleviate symptoms.
resting pain may be a symptom of arterial disease of the lower limb. This occurs when the internal blood lining is damaged. Damaged blood cells cause cholesterol and other lipids to accumulate in the arterial wall, so the lining will be rough and stronger than the healthier lining of the arterial wall. Caling of arteries is medically considered to be atherosclerosis and results in reduced blood flow or ischemia.
As the arteries still thicken, the individual could begin to experience convulsions and/or pain in the sides and feet. When these symptoms occur, it is called Claudication. Thebolest occurs while walking because the exercise causes blood flow to increase. TePny are partially or fully blocked, so the blood flow cannot increase and instead causes discomfort.
rest pain is another degree after claudication, when the arteries were damaged to the extent that enough blood is not able to reach its feet. Individuals who suffer from rest pain must ensure that they often and thoroughly check signs of gangrene. The whole body tissue relies on the flow of blood for oxygen and other nutrients to keep it alive. If a person's legs go long enough without sufficient nutrition, the tissue will die, which will lead to gangrene and maybe and amputation.
rest pain is the most common among older people and smoking is a high risk factor. High blood pressure, high levels of cholesterol and high triglycerides could also take into account to cause this symptom. Obesity, sedyary lifestyle, diabetes and family history of heart disease can also be factors, that lead to rest pain.
The sign that a person may have a reduced blood flow to the lower limbs, nails, smaller veal muscles or wound on the feet or legs that slowly recover or not heal at all. Coloring when hanging legs or less hair growth on the legs and feet can also be a warning signal. Other symptoms include weak or missing pulse, dullness, tingling or feeling cold in the legs or legs.
Surgery may be required to alleviate serious symptoms. The procedure of the basic causes of resting pain can be slowed or stopped by simple lifestyle changes. Ending smoking, lowering blood pressure, healthy diet and exercise may be enough to reduce symptoms. If an individual suffers from diabetes and resting in rest, further care of diet, drugs or any other treatment plan should be taken.
