What is the right atrial extension?

Right atrial enlargement describes an increase in the size of the upper ventricle or the hall on the right side of the heart. In adults that lead to the right atrium enlargement, they usually also cause the corresponding lower ventricle or chamber to increase the size. Because blood travels from the right side of the heart directly to the lungs, the enlargement of the right atrials can be associated with a disease that increases blood pressure in the lungs such as chronic obstructive lung disease. Some types of congenital heart disease also cause the right atrial to enlarge the right atrial by allowing the blood to pass from the left side of the heart to the right or flow back from the chamber to the atrium. A study of heart disease is known as cardiology. Because both sides of the heart are usually completely separate, it leads to problems. The blood from the left atrium passes inside the right atrium and increases the volume inside the heart chamber. Over time, increased loads are forced to enlarge. This magnification stretches tricuspid valves between the right atrium and the right chamber so that it will no longer be closed correctly, CIt leads to blood leakage back to the atrium and contributes to its burden even more.

Finally, the increased blood flow on the right side of the heart may lead to higher pressure in the lungs, causing damage to the lung blood vessels. The enlargement of the right atrial can also disrupt the cells of the pacemaker located inside the atrium, leading to an irregular beating of the heart. The irregular heart rhythm is associated with the risk of creating a blood clot that could travel to the blood vessel in the brain and cause stroke. Congenital heart defects are usually treated with heart surgery.

Sometimes, in what is known as coronal, existing lung disease causes back pressure in the heart. The right chamber increases due to increased pulmonary artery pressure. This leads to distortion of the tricuspide valve, with the blood then escapes back to the right atrium, which also increases. In the case of lung diseases affecting hearts, treatment depends on individual oneOc. Obecným cílem léčby je snížit zatížení srdce.

Right atrial enlargement can be recognized in an electrocardiogram, also known as ECG or ECG, which records the electrical activity of the heart by placing the electrodes on the chest. Almost always evidence is also evidence of the enlargement of the right ventricle, except in the case of stenosis tricuspid valve. This is where the tricuspid valve is damaged during the episode of the rheumatic fever, causing the narrowing of the valve or stenosis. The tapered atrial socket leads to the enlargement of the right atrials, while the right chamber does not receive blood. Tricuspid stenosis usually does not need treatment, but rarely serious symptoms can be treated through heart surgery.
