What Is Serious Bodily Injury?
Personal injury is the physical injury to others caused by the violation of personal rights. Civil law can be divided into two categories: general injury and disability injury. The former refers to injuries that can restore health after treatment; the latter refers to injuries that cause the whole or part of a person's limbs or organs to lose their function, such as amputation, blindness, and sequelae of concussion. Personal injury can cause direct property damage and can cause mental damage. According to the theory and practice of civil law in most countries, civil liability methods for compensation for damages should be applied to torts that cause personal injury, and liability methods such as elimination of influence and apology should be applied.
