What is sexual health?

Sexual health, sometimes called reproductive health, is a set of knowledge surrounding health problems related to human sexuality. Depending on the source of sexual health, it sometimes applies specifically to problems concerning sexually transmitted diseases (STD) or reproduction. However, sexual experts argue that this area of health includes a wider range of knowledge, including mental and emotional health. Some people consider these problems to be incorrect, controversial or directly offensive and try to reduce the spread of information about sexual health.

Human sexuality is a very complex subject. The sexual history and health of each individual can be as unique as the fingerprints. However, there are some problems that apply to all persons, regardless of gender, sexual orientation or other factors. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), this includes a state of well -being with regard to human sexuality, whatever it is. This is separated from a preventive or sexual treatmentIll diseases, although of course it is a large part of healthy sexuality.

Methods used to prevent STD spreading are sometimes the same as methods used for contraception and family planning. These topics remain controversial in many areas of the world. Studies have shown that simple education is highly effective in increasing all aspects of sexual health, but this measure is also warmly discussed for religious and political reasons. The WHO estimates that 20 percent of world health problems include sexuality. This includes reproductive problems and STD as well as sexual violence.

One of the most common problems of sexual health includes HIV/AIDS, incurable and potentially fatal STD. Since her discovery at the age of 80, HIV has become a global pandemic and a severe health crisis, especially on the African continent. On the other hand, many other sexuals are healing medical resources. Exceptions include heRPES and human papillomavirus (HPV), which are viral infections. Many people use safe sex procedures to reduce the chances of catching greater.

Many sexual health initiatives began in the 20th century. Pioneers like Alfred Kinsey and Margaret Sanger have openly discussed issues of sexuality, reproduction and contraception issues that were previously considered inappropriate. Social shocks of the late decades of the century have been a global sexual revolution that brought many earlier taboo to public consciousness. Until the 21st century, information about sexuality and health was widely available. However, the dispute over all aspects of human sexuality continues and seems to be easy to solve in the near future.
