What is the Flynn effect?

Flynn effect is a term for a phenomenon in which an increase in intelligent quotients (IQ) of the population is observed. These observations are largely based on the results of a test of various intelligent tests such as liquids and crystallized intelligent tests. All data were collected from around the world, from countries such as Australia, China and the USA, which makes the Flynn effect of global occurrence. In fact, it was Richard Lynn, another professor Emeritus in Britain, who first wrote about a growing pattern, but it was Flynn, who gathered, studied and presented data. Since the beginning of the 80s, Flynn has gathered statistics and data from different countries from several decades and has seen a gradual increase in test scores of intelligent tests. This means that the following generations have gained higher Scores than previous generations that have performed the same tests. Some statistics show that there has been an increase of at least 3 points and a maximum of 25 points over every decade.

The consequences of the data have caused many people to find the cause of the increase, which is a question that will definitely answer. One simple explanation of the Flynn effect is that testors are simply more familiar with the tests, but that does not necessarily mean that students are smarter. Schools made more effort for students to provide reviews and previous intelligent tests are considered "dry runs". Another explanation of the trend is nutrition. It can be shown that a healthier eating style provides an improved performance, but nutrition cannot be the only contributor to an increase in IQ.

others speculate that the higher level of education has led to Flynn Effect. Studies have shown austudents t with more years of education earned higher points than those who have less. Parents are also a factor because they instill the importance of education in their children and invest more in their studies. Some observers also attribute the modern environment as the cause of IQ increase because today's environment and progressive technIologs provide more brain stimulus.

In holistic, all these external factors can actually lead to Flynn effect. One of the important internal factors is the inheritance of the gene from one generation to another, suggesting that "nature" and "education" should go together in improved intelligence. Flynn suggested that all news tests are regularly updated to measure IQ in a more accurate way.
