What is a USB chipset?
Universal serial bus (USB) is standard for communication between computers and peripheral devices. The hardware part of the USB interface is implemented in one or more integrated circuits known as the USB chipset. The software part usually consists of one or more chipset drivers. Most laptops, desktop and servers are connected to external peripherals through host ports provided by the USB chipset. USB hubs, special computers and built -in systems often include USB chipsets also to connect to external devices or other computers.
