What is a web banner?
Web banner, also referred to as banner advertising, is a rectangular ad shown on the website. Although banners are commonly considered unpleasant, similar television commercials, income from hosting web banners provides funding for most websites out of sale. Web banners are almost as old as the public internet. The party that owns a banner site is usually paid by an advertising party, depending on the number of unique Internet users to click on the web banner. This is known as "Pay by clicking". Although the user does not click on the advertising link, he will be exposed to his marketing. It is not uncommon for the same company to provide more ads on the same website. Vertical oribanners are referred to as "skyscrapers" and small horizontally oriented banners are called "buttons". The interactive advertising office prescribes nearly 20 specifically shaped sizes.
Web banner can be static or animated and may even be interactive. This could customize the Internet user to an image -related image whenever the cursor is deployed or clicked via a banner. This is used to simulate a fun animated reaction or even simplified points and clicks, while quickly redirect users to the main sales site. Some web banners can use the sound function. This can confuse the user, especially if the banner is displayed near the bottom of the website, outside the user's immediate view.
Web banner differs from pop -up advertising that opens in a separate window or can be at least closed. Unlike the unsound advert, the web banner does not cover the main content of the hosting site, but usually assembles the edges of the website and is permanently displayed. Like jumping ads, however, web banners slow down the loading time of websites, especially with complex and accumulated.
