What is an input method?

This method is often used to enter characters from the language with another alphabet and to allow writing letters with a numeric keypad. It was originally created to suit the Asian languages ​​on the alphabet keyboards, although it has now spread to several other languages ​​and alphabets. Since then, the term CJKV, which includes Vietnamese, has been created to cover all East Asian languages ​​in which the input method is most often used. The input method can be implemented via a specially programmed editor or with several other methods, including the use of milestics, the Pinyin method or the Cangjie method.
