What are different types of food belts?

Traffic strips are used to transport materials through factories and other production facilities. Businesses that produce or process food products rely on special types of conveyor belts to provide effective hygiene and easy cleaning. These food traffic belts are also used in other devices that place high value on hygiene, including chemical and pharmaceutical companies. Different types of food transport strips are often distinguished according to their material and construction, which may have a significant impact on the risk of cleaning and contamination. These food belts include strips made of plastic, rubber and stainless steel.

Stainless steel has long been one of the most popular materials used to produce food transport strips. Although these belts are more expensive than other types of transport systems, they are also one of the most hygienic of all belts. Stainless steel is non -toxic and odorless, so it is unlikely to becontaminated food. This also features a very smooth, non -porous surface that is unlikely to capture bacteria and other microbes. Finally, this material is easy to clean and will not resist or corrode when exposed to water or cleaning solutions.

Another main advantage of stainless steel strips is that this material can accommodate a wide range of temperatures. Food processing plants often use extreme heat or colds in food transport or production. While plastic conveyors are not designed to withstand these temperatures, stainless steel does not drown, deforms or bursts in extremely cold or hot climate.

Rubber transport belts are another common option for food manufacturers. These belts tend to cost less than other food belts, but may not provide the same level of hygiene. While rubber can withstand frequent washing and exposure to various chemicals, may bemore absorbed than metal belts. This means that bacteria and microbes can be caught in small areas below the surface of the belt, leading to the risk of contamination. Rubber transport strips are generally not used to process high -risk objects such as meat, but can be used in other food processing applications.

Many modern manufacturers turned to thermoplastic belts of food transport. These belts are produced using extremely hard and dense forms of plastic that are able to withstand tears, cracks and holes. They are also very smooth and easy to clean, with a non -package surface. One limitation of plastic transport strips is that it may not be able to withstand extreme temperature ranges sometimes associated with food processing.
