What is a ceiling jack?

Ceiling jack is a device used to lift objects from the ground, usually for temporary or permanent storage purposes. Depending on the size of the ceiling jack, the device will be used for light or strong guidance purposes, although most jack models are quite easy to duty. They are usually used for lifting and storing wheels or kayaks in garage spaces with high ceilings to maximize storage space and minimize mess. The system consists of several components: pulleys mounted to the ceiling, cable or rope, hooks or straps to grab the object and anchor to secure the rope. Two hooks will be hung from the rope, one will connect to the wheel seat and one connects to the bikes. The rope passes through every hook even through two pulleys attached to the ceiling of the pulley frame. The frames are usually screwed into the beam for greater security and prevents an uncommon suspended object. The user can pull out at the end of the rope, raising the object when the rope stretches the ceiling pulley. Once isA wheel or object suspended, the user can tie the excess rope at an anchor point attached to the wall or other fixed object.

Kayaks and other objects may be suspended in the same way, but the user will have to take into account the mass capacity specified by the manufacturer before trying to raise exceptionally heavy objects. Many models of ceiling jacks are a light duty and use plastic or aluminum pulleys as well as fiber ropes that do not necessarily safely lift some objects. If the user intends to suspend heavier objects, it will need a heavier stroke of the ceiling ceiling with steel pulleys and frames, and perhaps even a steel cable rather than a rope.

Electrical ceiling flaps can be used for raised objects and are sometimes used in the medical environment to help raise unfit from bed or chair. Can also be used in an industrial environment for lifting noBo movement of exceptionally heavy objects, although these models of ceiling jacks are likely to be difficult; They can also be equipped with a trolley system that allows the jack to move along the track to another location.
