What is Corona's release?
Coronos discharge is an electrical discharge that occurs when the fluid around the conductor ionizes. The power of the electric field must be large enough to cause ionization, but inadequate to cause real arches. This process requires an electrode with high electrical potential in electrically neutral fluid - usually air. The fluid in this context includes gases and liquids.
Electric current creates charged particles known as ions from neutral molecules in liquid if the potential gradient is sufficiently large. This will most likely happen when the conductor has a sharp point. When the air around the conductor begins to perform electricity, it becomes effectively part of the conductor. This makes the conductor less sharp and can prevent ionization from expanding a certain distance from the conductor.
ions eventually travel for this conductive area and become neutral molecules again. The conditions around the electrode may also allow the ionization area to continue to grow and create a completely conductive CEstu. This will result in continuous arches or sparks rather than corona discharge. One electrode should be highly curved and usually a small wire. The second electrode should be flat like the plate. This difference in curvature between electrodes ensures high potential around the curved electrode.
The polarity of the curved electrode determines the polarity of the corona discharge. This means that a curved electrode with a positive charge produces positive corona and a curved electrode with a negative charge creates a negative coron. These two types of corons have very different behavior due to the difference between positive ions and electrons. Positive ions anonested each other almost as often as electrons. This means that only the negative coronas produce ozone, purple glow and hiss associated with Coronas.
There are a number of coron -release applications. Can remove the electric charge from the surfaceChu flying aircraft. This can prevent electrical discharge from damage to the electronic aircraft systems.
Coronos can also remove particles from the air. It ionizes the air that charges particles. The air then passes through the ridge with the opposite charge. The comb attracts charged particles to remove them from the air.
