What Is a Drill Line?
Drilling is one of the most direct covert disaster detection technology. It has the advantages of high accuracy, intuitiveness, and wide adaptability. It is used in structural detection, old empty area detection, water drainage, gas pressure relief, fire area detection, and other The investigation of hidden causes of disasters is playing an increasingly important role.

- At present, underground drilling technology in coal mines has evolved from conventional rotary drilling technology to directional drilling technology. Joint surface and underground drilling technology has been formed. Both the surface drilling rig and the underground drilling rig have realized the function of "inclination measurement while drilling and real-time correction". It meets the technical requirements for the investigation, verification and management of hidden disaster factors.
- Drilling is using
- According to the construction space, the drilling methods are divided into ground drilling technology and downhole drilling technology, and according to the drilling method, they are divided into conventional drilling technology and directional drilling technology.
- 1. Surface drilling technology
- Because the surface drilling technology is not restricted by space, large truck-mounted drilling rigs or derricks can be used as lifting systems to lift and lower drilling tools, casings, and control drilling pressure and feed drilling; mud pumps, high-pressure mud pipelines, water hoses, faucets, The drill string and mud solid control equipment form a mud circulation system, which is used to maintain mud circulation, flush the bottom of the well, and transfer the injected high-pressure mud energy to the bottom of the well; in addition, it includes power and control systems.
- 2. Downhole drilling technology
- Due to the space limitation of underground drilling technology, split-type small rigs are often used, that is, the pump station, the main machine and the operation platform are separated to facilitate the relocation and transportation in the narrow aisle. For the transportation of crawler drilling rigs, the driving torque is greatly improved compared with the split drilling rigs, so the drilling depth is also doubled.
- 3 Conventional drilling technology
- Conventional drilling technology is a drilling method that uses a drill rotator to rotate the drill bit to break the rock at the bottom of the hole. It is suitable for all types of formations and drills holes of various angles, different depths and calibers. It is a common drilling method. According to the abrasive properties and the shape of the drill bit, it can be divided into hard alloy drilling, diamond drilling, drill particle drilling, scraper drilling, and cone drilling; according to the power setting position, it can be divided into ground power rotary drilling And hole bottom dynamic drilling; according to the shape of the hole bottom formed by the broken rock, it is divided into full drilling and circular (coring) drilling.
- 4 Directional drilling technology
- Directional drilling technology refers to a drilling method that uses the natural law of tilting, adopts artificial tilting methods, or a combination of both to make the borehole follow a predetermined trajectory to achieve a predetermined goal.
- Directional drilling technology can be divided into planar bending directional drilling and space bending directional drilling according to the hole trajectory. Plane bending directional drilling is a drilling in which the trajectory of the hole body only changes the apex angle and azimuth angle in a certain vertical plane or inclined plane. The space bending directional drilling is a drilling in which a certain section of the trajectory of the hole body changes both the apex angle and the azimuth angle in a certain surface. According to the drilling structure, it can be divided into single-hole bottom directional drilling and porous bottom directional drilling. Single-hole bottom refers to directional drilling with only main holes and no branch holes, and porous bottom refers to directional drilling with both main holes and branch holes. [1]
- The main uses of drilling technology are as follows:
- (1) Geological exploration: general exploration drilling; mineral exploration drilling; hydrogeological drilling; engineering geological drilling.
- (2) Resource development: water well drilling; oil (natural gas) drilling; salt well drilling.
- (3) Coal mine drilling: geological exploration, gas drainage, water drainage, bolt and cable construction and emergency rescue.
- (4) Industrial drilling: reinforcement of foundation pile holes of buildings; drilling of large-diameter (pier construction space) bridges. [1]
