What is a hobbing machine?
Hobbing machine is a milling variant used for cutting chain wheels, gears and groove parts using a specialized cutting tool known as the cooking value. The hob is a cylindrical cutting tool that contains a number of spiral ranges of teeth. The hobbing machine is equipped with two spindles, one of which holds the workpiece and the other insert. Both spindles rotate at the set ratio, while the hob is transferred to the workpiece and cuts the teeth. Cutting gear on the hobbing machine is a cheap, but accurate method of production of a wide range of products, including worms, Rohatka, evolutionary gears and hellic gears. These tools are known as Hols and are used exclusively for the hobbing process. Cylindrical in the cross -section has a progressive range of screw cutting teeth. The hob is grooved or grooved from top to bottom at regular intervals, giving the tool a different grenade hands. These flutes are used to reduce cutting friction and help in removal of chips during ŘEzani. The pitch and tooth profile HOB depends on the desired final result, although they all follow the same basic design.
The construction of the hobbing machine is similar to the design of the conventional milling machine and has a few rotating spindles, one for the workpiece and one for the hob. These spindles are located at the opposite angle to each other depending on the type of piece produced. For example, if the gear is cut, the spindle angle will be equal to a possible helix angle. The relationship between rotary speeds of both spindles is dictated to the teeth pitch of the finished product. For example, a gears with 40 teeth will be processed at a rotary ratio of 40: 1.
Theprocess of the hobbing includes referrals to the rotating workshop until the desired tooth depth has been reached. In one passage can be cut up to five gears and several separate gears can be stacked in the spindlemunicipality and sliced simultaneously. Very large workpieces are usually upset before hobbing. Gashing includes coarse cutting of the workpiece on a universal milling machine before it is completed on a cobribing machine. Hobbing is a very cost -effective method of accurate cutting a wide range of gears, including spiral gears, irritating gears, chain wheels and evolutionary and cycloid gears.
