What is a screw pump?
The screw pump is a mechanical device that is designed to push different substances from one place to another. There are many different variations, most with very specific purposes. Among other things, the use of screw pumps can be found in engines used for drilling for liquids such as oil, like snails and more.
The Archimedes screw, which was invented in the 3rd century BC, is its namesake, is the basic type of screw pump. It consists of a screw that is closed by a hollow tube. One end of this device can be inserted into a liquid such as water, and when it turns, the movement of the screw pump causes the liquid to travel on the tube until it goes out of the other end. The bolt edges do not necessarily have to make contact with the tube and the device can be rotated either manually or in a form of machines such as a water mill or an electric turbine.
More complicated variations of the screen pump pumpO also exists. For example, some use two or more screws that operate in a context in the cover for moving the fabric. The combination of screw threads rests against each other and moves liquids through the device at high speeds as they turn. A common place to find this variation is the transmission of the performance of the submarine. Here, the screw pump can supply low noise liquid and can be used under high pressures that are associated with fraud.
Vacuum cleanersscrew vacuum pumps are used to push air at high pressures and use the physics of the screw pump. Inside the pump is a system similar to the Archimedes screw, which as a result draws liquid and pushes air and creates a vacuum that can be used for many different purposes. There are also dry screw vacuum pumps that do the same without internal liquid. These pumps have many different uses, including removal of moisture and gas from an enclosed space, creating a vacuumv of different objects such as nEon lights, and can also be used to supply the necessary suction of the pneumatic machine.
Augers, such as snails, can be designed as a variation of the screw pump. These devices are used to push dirt rather liquid and are used to dig accurate cylindrical openings into the ground. The movement of the device makes it easier to dig into the ground using simple rotation.
