What is the separation of foam?
Foam separation is the process of removing the liquid mixture component by means of a bubbly gas and a surface active substance for the collection of material. The surface -active substance is a chemical that helps to produce foam without chemically reacting with the solution. Many materials can be removed from liquids by separation of foam, including precious metals, proteins and dirt from water.
Another term for separation of foam is the adsorption separation of bubbles. Adsorption means that a material without a chemical reaction is stored on the foam surface. Foam has surface tension and in some cases molecular polarity that attracts the desired material to the surface of the foam.
There are a number of chemical methods for extraction of gold from ore, but many include toxic chemicals and waste products. Gold can be extracted from a liquid mixture using air or nitrogen gas and a surface -active foam -producing substance. Foam leaving the device is enriched with gold, which can then be separated by centrifugers that dial gold and paragraphsRani foam. Surface active substances attract the desired product on the interface of foam by preferring organic or oil molecules to water molecules. Foam systems can use non -perial nitrogen gas rather than compressed air to prevent any air oxidation reactions with the required materials.
Waste water treatment systems often use foam separation steps to remove solids from the water stream. Larger solids can be removed by gravity or centrifuges, but fine solids must also be removed to meet the standards of the treated water. The air can be bubble together with a surface -active substance to form a foam layer that rises to the top of the foam tank. Fine solids will be adsorbed to foam that can overflow or be centrifuged from above.
Separal foam can be controlled as batch or continuous operations. Accounting processes insert liquidOU mixture into the processing tank and produces foam until most of the product is removed. The product analysis can determine when the processing is completed, and the device can be re -filled and the process is repeated.
continuous production systems add the mixture either to the bottom of the container or at the point on the side. At the bottom, air or other gas and a surface active substance are added and mixed as the gas moves up. The foam will be transferred to the top of the tank or collecting point on the side above the surface of the liquid. Further processing can remove the surface -active substance from the desired product current.
