The earliest table saw in China was a batch of German ALTENDORF table saws imported through a trading company in the 1970s. The saw has gone through more than 100 years. At present, the main structure of the table saw is composed of a sliding table, a work surface, a horizontal ruler, a slide base, a main saw, a slot saw and other structures.

The main part of the table saw includes a bed, a table, a longitudinal cross-section guide, a main saw, a scribe saw, and a transmission. The structure and working principle are similar to ordinary circular saws, and they can be used alone as ordinary circular saws.

Efforts to design a table saw

China has introduced, surveyed, and produced table saws since the early 1980s. There are now more than 20 woodworking machinery manufacturing companies producing table saws. The annual output is about 4,000, which has basically replaced imported products to meet domestic demand.

At present, most of the companies that produce table saws in China start from designing and mapping foreign prototypes, and then make improvements based on problems in their use. Some force relationships are not fully understood, and there is blindness. Most companies have not performed static and dynamic mechanical calculations and lack the necessary theoretical basis. In order to improve the shortcomings in the design, a table saw with good performance was designed. It is recommended that the major manufacturers of panel saws use the internationally popular CAD design, optimization design, dynamic design, and conduct pilot tests based on summing up existing experience. At present, with the rapid development and mature application of computing technology, the limited software is used to calculate the stress of the table saw under various complicated stress conditions. As far as the main saw blade and scribe saw blade are concerned, their shapes are not complicated, and they can be approximated as elastic bodies to calculate the stress vibration characteristics. At the same time, they are matched with the test and analysis technology card to obtain modal parameters and improve the calculation accuracy. Based on this, commercial software for the design and manufacture of table saws can be developed, so as to design and manufacture high-level table saws on the basis of practical theory.

At present, the representative companies in China that can use advanced design tools to independently develop new panel saws are: Qingdao Yongqiang Woodworking Machinery, Markov Woodworking Machinery, Nanxing Woodworking Machinery, etc. On the basis of digesting and absorbing foreign advanced models, these representative companies have developed and produced a number of representative products based on the specific needs of the domestic market, such as Qingdao Yongqiang's MV8-90, Markov's MJ6132, and Nanxing's MJ6132Y Wait.

In addition to completing the necessary control tasks, the operator of the table saw must also overcome the adverse postures of standing for a long time, bending down, and the bad working environment such as artificial lifting, vibration and noise under heavy load. In the woodworking push table saw operation position, the work fatigue problem is particularly serious. The work fatigue in this position will not only cause a decrease in work efficiency, but also may cause human error accidents and operator waist injuries. Multi-person fatigue operations may also cause hidden accidents ^[1]

1. According to the workload, the dust removal operation should be performed on the inside of the machine regularly to ensure the normal heat dissipation of the motor;

4. Regularly fill the lubricating parts of the fuselage to ensure the stability and quietness of the equipment.

Before the table saw operation

1. Make sure that the saw blade pads and nuts and the screws in all parts are tight. If they are loose, they must be tightened before starting the device.

2. Check whether the table saw blade is sharp, the blade must be flat, the teeth must be sharp, and two consecutive teeth must not be missing. The length of the crack must not exceed 20mm. Is it normal?

3. Check the rotation direction of the saw blade to ensure that the rotation direction of the saw blade is correct.

4. Check the table for foreign objects such as wrenches, bolts, etc. to ensure that the table is clean before working.

5. Check whether the backing plate is loose or deformed during positioning to ensure the positioning plate is intact and fixed.

6. After confirming that there is no error, open the suction valve to prepare for operation.

7. Fill in the inspection records of the table saw.

Table saw in operation

1. After the saw blade reaches the rated speed, the material can be unloaded. It is forbidden to place heavy objects or heavy pressure on the work surface to avoid deformation of the work surface and affect the machining accuracy.

2. When the machine tool is abnormal, you should immediately cut off the power and stop the operation, and send a special person to carry out maintenance and adjustment. The machine tool must not work with illness.

3. The equipment must be operated with a protective cover on the circular saw blade; the wood must be close to the workbench and the backboard when feeding, and the hand must not be near the saw blade to avoid dangerous accidents.

4. For processed materials, be sure to check whether there are foreign objects such as iron nails, sand and gravel in the sawing place of the wood, so as not to cause foreign objects to fly out or damage the saw blade.

5. If the saw wire deviates, it should be gradually corrected, and it should not be pulled sharply to avoid damaging the saw blade.

6. The operator must not stand and face the centrifugal force rotating with the saw blade, and his arm must not work across the saw blade.

After the table saw operation

1. Cut off the power, remove dust from the machine, clean up the remaining materials, and fill the parts with lubricating oil.

2. Keep the track (often wiped with a soft cloth containing butter) and the drive wheels clean.

3. After the machine tool is operated, the power must be cut off, and the machine cannot be left until it stops completely ^[2] .
