What is a belt?
Tacker Strip is a building material used in most carpets installations. Launched around the perimeter of the area to be a carpet, holding a carpet in place without chaotic adhesives. These fasteners are available for use on wood and concrete pads.
Most strips come in sections that are 4 feet long (1.21 meters). The carpet itself is made of a thin piece of plywood, which allows the installation program to be easily cut to the required length. Sincere studs are set in a strip in unfolded rows at an angle of approximately 60 degrees. Each sink rod also includes pre -installed fasteners, either concrete or wooden nails, for connecting the strip to the appropriate substrate. All strips of studs should be laid before nailed to the place, which is a process known as "dry fit". After this process, it can see where full strips can be used and which areas require cut pieces that can reduce waste. After completing the dry deposit, the pieces can be nailed toPlace with built -in nails.
A carpet pad can be installed on the spot. The pad does not go on the top of the belt, but is installed directly against it. The carpet pad is also not attached to the band strip, but is attached only to the substrate. 6 larger pieces of carpet may need to be trimmed to fit in this size. This does not complete the installation, so the carpet should not be connected to the stud band. The last step of the installation of the carpet is stretching, which in all directs attracts the carpet firmly to prevent sagging and wrinkling. A tool called Kicker is used to stretch the wall carpet. The carpet can then be connected to the studs with an excess cropped. There should be no more than 3/4 inches (1.90 centimeters) of excess carpet to be inserted and tucked between the edge and the wall or the motherboard.
strips of carpets moohou take very long. After a few years of wear, many carpets may need to be reduced to impress in the floor, moving furniture and general wear. Glitting strips may not be generally replaced during restraints and can even stay in place for the next new carpet installation in the room.
