What is a vacuum flange?

Vacuum flange is a small device used in vacuum systems that use many pipes and pipes. Its main purpose is to connect and connect the pipes with each other or attach the pipes to the chambers. The flange usually occurs as a edge that has a larger perimeter than the actual tube to which it is connected. It also has small holes running in its edges that help attach a vacuum flange with pipes and chamber openings. In general, the vacuum flange can be either a solid or swivel type. The fixed flange usually has four to five holes that fit directly into the holes of the pipe or opening of the chamber. Rotable, but usually has multiple holes, so even if the plumber rotates the flange in both directions, the holes can still cope with the holes in the pipes. The holes are then filled with screws that are firmly screwed to connect the flange and pipes. Vacuum flanges can also be welded to the plumbing system to ensure that no pressure misses the vacuum system via Little parts.

steel is one of the most commonly used materials in the production of vacuum flange, because the alloy is known as very durable. The steel variants can be stainless steel or carbon, causing the flange to be more resistant to rusting and high heat. Copper, bronze, brass and aluminum are also used as production materials. Vacuum flanges can also be made of non -metallic materials such as glass, ceramics or PVC. All these materials are durable and can weather weather, heat, cold and even pressure.

Vacuum flanges come in many varieties and standard measurements. One of them is a quick flange (QF), sometimes known as the Klein Flange (KF). QF is usually attached to the ducts that are connected to the pipe itself. O-ring, plastic disk, then placed to seal all holes than the flange finally screwed. The diameter of 0.629 inches (16 mm) to 1.968 inches (50 mm).

forLarger flanges were issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) LF or “Great Flange”. The LF variety has eight different sizes, the smallest of which is 2.5 inches (63.5 mm). The middle vacuum flange has a diameter of 7.87 inches (200 mm), while the largest of the LF is 19.68 inches (500 mm). Like QF, the LF also comes with the O-ring and is also connected to the pipe.

Another type of vacuum flange is a "confront" or CF, which looks like a seal that connects both pipes together. When the pipes are in place, the CF is attached around the pipe and there is no space for no leakage. Vacuum CG flange is usually used in "Ultrahigh" vacuum systems.
