What is the air hose clutch?

Air hose clutch is a device used to easily attach additional air hoses, air tools and other connections to the air hose. The clutch of the air hose, which consists of the type of cams, uses a sliding collar with a spring to hold the female clutch on the male binding component by pushing the ball bearings into the grooved half of the male coupling. The air hose clutch is easily released by sliding the lock collar down, releasing the ball and the male binding, allowing it to jump out of the binding. This is made possible by means of a clutch on the air hose. By installing the clutch at the end of the air hose, the connection can be changed again and again in seconds without losing the air pressure into the compressor tank. The clutch is designed with a membrane or return valve inside that seals air from the escape no attachment is connected to the clutch. This valve is held open by inserting a male binding into the air hose coupling, providing air for the toolflowJ or connection.

In front of the air hose clutch, the air tool was required or fastened directly to the air hose using the threaded connector. This made the air tool connection or the connection of the uncomfortable connection in that the air pressure required the bleeding and the compressor had to be switched off to change the air tool or connect from the air hose. Some mechanics in an effort to eliminate the time and air act of changing air tools, used on the compressor of the pipe with several air hoses. Each of the air hoses had a different type of air tool at the end to remove the need to change the tools. This system has often led to a tangle of air hoses, and more than one air line was used to lose air energy.

There are several styles and sizes of bonds for air hose to suit mostneeds. Large binding sizes promote larger air flow and should be used on large capacity air compressors to avoid draining air from a smaller compressor. It is essential that all ties and male counterparts have the same size and style to attach the components to each other without problems.
