What is an industrial hose?

The industrial hose is any hose designed specifically to safely resist extreme pressures or temperatures and resist attacks of caustic or abrasive chemicals associated with industrial processes. Industrial hoses can consist of free lengths or prefabricated modular units that include fitting -specific fittings. These hoses are usually designed with a flexible outer shell of chemical, heat and rubber rubber resistant to lubricant reinforced at different points by textile or metal knit. The connection between the hose and the fittings is also designed to carry high pressures, and the fittings themselves are usually robust, heavy variants. Industrial hoses are usually used in hydraulic, pneumatic, high -pressure lubrication and chemical process systems. These are high pressure, temperature extremes, mechanical tension and chemical attack. Some types of industrial hoses must deal with a majority, not all of all above as part of their regular operatorthe regime. These four aggressive environmental factors are contradictory in different ways and which can be applied separately or collectively depending on the end use of hoses.

High -pressure industrial hose designed for use on hydraulic and pneumatic systems is usually reinforced with a number of ways to resist high operating pressures. The hose of a slight pressure system may not have more than simple jets to add more reinforcement. Those designed for use on high -pressure systems will have one or more stainless steel or brass knitted vagina contained in the rubber or along the outside of the hose. Some high -pressure hoses have helical coils made of stainless steel included in their construction to serve the same purpose. All of these adddite elements physically strengthen hoses against expansion voltage when carrying high -pressure fluids and gases.

Braids and coils also protect the hoses from mechanical tension such as grip, cans and impact. High and low temperatures are formed against the chemical properties themselves. The inclusion of silicone and polymeric compounds significantly increases the amount of extreme heat or cold that hose rubber can last before it begins to crumble. Resistance to chemical and lubricants is built into an industrial hose in the same way with specially formulated rubber compounds used in the production of the hose itself. These compounds resist attacks by acids and alkaline media, as well as degradation caused by hydraulic and lubricating oils.

The

robust nature of industrial hoses extends to fittings used to end them. Many types of industrial hose are available in prefabricated lengths that include the application of Fittings. These fittings are usually heavy varieties and are limited to the hose by means of pressure resistant collar. These hoses usually bondThey live on specific machines and processes and are tailored to make the right length, evaluation and type of assembly from the shelf.
