What is a hot knock?
The term hot knocking or clicking pressure is used in relation to the pipe mounting. Specifically, it applies to the adding method to the pressure pipe or line that is in operation. Using a hot -click machine, they perform the heat pipes without closing the line or dropping it. This process is generally used to turn off a particular pipe that could disrupt the service for a large area or create outages that could endanger public security. Clicking is attached to the main pipe in the right location and is tested before connecting the gate valve. When the gate of the valve is installed and open, it allows the pilot drill and hot click machine to be powerful. The pilot drill creates a small hole that leads the cutter in a straight line through the existing pipe wall. After cutting, the hot -clicking machine is also clicked and the valve is closed until new lines are connected and are ready for charging.
hot taps can be used safely to install valves and branches in various types of pipes. These pipes are usually made of steel, iron, copper, PVC or asbestos. The contents of these pipes can be as diverse as the pipeline itself, so it is important that the overalls of the pipe that attempted this procedure know how to safely control the device for a particular affected type of pipeline and content. These pressure lines can carry dangerous fluids, including raw oil, waste water, gasoline, natural gas or steam, so the life of the pipes and others could be endangered unless the correct methods are used.
Flow measurement devices, temperature sensing devices, testing or sampling ports, pressure control and relief valves can also use hot knocks. This procedure can also be used to check the internal state of the pipe. Booting and discharging a part of the pipeline, whether temporarily or permanently, can also be effectively completed using this methody.
Sometimes the knocking method can be used to create an opening in the pipeline pipe surgery, in which the plug of the right size is inserted after the cutting bit is removed. This plug is called the head of the line. In these cases, the knocking process and subsequent connection of the line temporarily stop the flow of fluids to allow workers to repair or permanently turn off the service to the pipe section without required to install the valve.
