What is a leather tape?

On the surface, the concept of leather tape may seem excessive. What happens with an ordinary old adhesive tape? But do not tell thousands of bike riders who rely on the skin to prevent their handlebars. Most leather straps on the handlebars come with one joint in each piece, oblique diagonally. It is offered in different colors and the surface can be stamped. Because it is obviously more expensive than a conventional tape made of synthetic materials, its use is largely limited to scenarios, where the problem of durability and wear - especially if the elements are exposed. This tape, which is sometimes used in conjunction with steel, has the advantage that it is immune to rust. It is also sufficiently flexible to allow some bending of the cargo that is designed to hold quickly.

6 Leather tape is of course not rigid enough to serve as a real measuring tape but used to bind largerPieces of skin into the rules holder outer tape. The same technology can also be applied to leather wallets.

In addition, leather tape is used on saddles and is a close cousin to a leather cord in which the skin is even thinner. In all its uses, the skin is valued for its durability, beauty and increasingly the fact that it is biodegradable. And in applications that would also be suitable for traditional adhesive tape for much longer - theoretically, it pays for time.
