What is the wood treated with pressure?
Wood treated with pressure is wood that has undergone the process to make it more resistant, so it is not sensitive to water, rot, thermit or sponges. It is used for many applications from outdoor deck to utility rods, from railway links to playground equipment. Ships, aquarium stands and internal pools are several other examples. This type of wood preserves and extends a valuable renewable source and is economical. The pressure forces the chemicals deep into the wood, which then becomes a barrier against natural enemies such as termites and disintegration. The efficiency of wood treated with pressure was born by the Ministry of Agriculture in the USA for more than four decades of testing in the field. Due to its known efficacy, it is often guaranteed against the infestation and disintegration of thermit for 40 years.
There are three main preservatives used in pressure -treated wood: preservatives born in water, creature and preservatives transmitted by oil. Some preservatives born in water are chrome -arsenate copper (approx), arsenate ammoniacal copper zinc (ACZA) and ammonia copper (ACQ). This type is also used for many commercial and industrial applications, including transport features and noise barriers.
Some uses for wood treated with preservatives of creatures are bridges, railing and docks, while polars, crossarms and internal pools are several examples of things made of wood treated with preservatives on oil.
Wood -treated pressure is argued that it is safe in studies conducted by the environmental protection agency (EPA). The chemical preservatives, especially arsenic, were found to be not h into the soil or water. Laboratory studies independent of EPA also did not detect any increased risk of cancer in those working with treated wood daily.According to the research conducted by Texas A&M Laboratory together with the Research Institute of Southwest Research, the wood is treated with preservativeBirth substances in water or creature even safe for use in a vegetable garden between fires such as trellises for tomatoes or vineyard support for grapes. However, the wood itself should not be consumed by humans or animals, and therefore should not be used where it should not unintentionally end up in food or feed. For example, the tension plate should not be made of wood treated with pressure.
If you want to stand up something that lasts, consider the advantages of using pressure wood. It is available at most wooden centers and home improvement. Just look for a stamp or brand of approval American Wood-depression Association (AWPA) or American Lumber Standards Committee (ALSC).
