Honesty is a Chinese word, pronounced chéng xìn. Integrity is a ethical category, the second "identity card" of citizens, and a collective term for the honesty and formal communication of everyday behavior.     Origin of the Code of Integrity

    The "Code of College Students' Integrity" (hereinafter referred to as the "Code") is the research result of the 2006 major research project of the philosophy and social sciences of the Ministry of Education chaired by Professor Huang Rongsheng, Secretary of the Party Committee of Southwest University. The "Code" provides integrity standards for the study, work and daily life of college students, and is of great significance in guiding college students to establish a sense of integrity and practice the virtue of integrity.
    The writing process of the Code lasted nearly four years, and the trial text of the Code was finalized in March 2010. In the meantime, the "Code" has received great attention from all sectors of society, especially college students. "China Education Daily" has given special reports, which has aroused strong repercussions among college students across the country. The majority of college students have proposed nearly 10,000 suggestions for the revision of the Code through online forums and letters. The research team held 6 seminars on university students' special topics, listened to the opinions of all parties, and changed their drafts, and finally formed the "Code of Integrity for College Students" (trial).     Interpretation of the Code of Integrity

    There are 12 sentences in the Code, which are divided into general descriptions (Sentences 1 and 2), political integrity (Sentences 3 and 4), study and research integrity (Sentences 5, 6), communication integrity (Sentences 7, 8), and economic integrity.
