How effective is lemon juice for kidney stones?

Many people say that drinking lemon juices on kidney stones is very effective for stones caused by calcium crystallization. Lemon juice is naturally very acidic and this feature is often attributed to easier passage and prevention of stone. Lemon juice acid can be able to either dissolve the kidney stones completely or become small enough to go through little pain. Consumption of lemon juice can also help prevent the formation of stones, as acid can help prevent calcium crystallization, which usually leads to stone formation.
