What are the different types of brain palsy?

There are several different types of brain palsy drugs with different purposes and effects. Some of these drugs known to treat patients with brain palsy include injections administered directly into the muscle to relieve cramps or drugs used orally. Oral brain palsy for spasm medicines are generally classification of drugs that are known as muscle relaxants. Patients who are susceptible to seizures can receive anti-conventional drugs. Several of the more common prescribed medicines are diazepam, baclofen and dantrolene. In general, they work by sending a message directly to the brain where the engine functioning is located. Lousmy is usually controlled to some extent or in some cases completely alleviated. Baklofen brain palsy is specifically focused on the spinal cord than on the brain. They use the face to control the face. This is another form of brain palsy similar to Botox® injection. Drugs leak directly into the tissue of the skin that helps to relax convulsions. However, the use of this form of therapy is usually limited to the opportunityMain treatment because excessive use can cause specific problems.

Drug Valium® - known as diazepam in its general form - is often used as brain palsy and may have side effects in some individuals. Some side effects may include abdominal discomfort such as nausea, vomiting or diarrhea. If a higher dosage is used, extreme drowsiness may occur. Although this drug is administered to relax muscles in patients with cerebral palsy, Valium® can actually support muscle contractions in some individuals.

Some patients with severe forms of brain palsy may have movements that are looking. There are drugs pryded to help control such a jerk or unstable operation. These drugs are known as anti-spasmotics. This type of drug generally works in the central nervous system. These also have known side effects and can interact with other medicines, and should therefore be used under strict supervision by a doctor.

Although it is known that brain palsy helps minimize symptoms, there is no known cure for this disease. The course of drug therapy is usually treatment that will take place throughout the patient's life. This can be done by an outpatient basis or at home. In conjunction with drugs, physical and speech therapy is often prescribed for the patient.
