What are the different types of dermatological drugs?

There are a number of dermatological drugs on the market that are used to treat several different disorders of skin disorders. The most common are those used to treat acne and pink, especially antibiotics and isotretinoin, as these conditions affect a large percentage of the population. Many inflammatory skin conditions are treated with dermatological drugs to control skin irritation, including corticosteroids, immunomodulators and antihistamines. Since many skin conditions are caused by the growth of bacteria, antibiotics can often help cleanse the problem. The most common skin conditions treated with these drugs are acne and rosacea. While antibiotics can help clarify mild to severe acne by killing bacteria, they are primarily used in rosacea for their ability to reduce flare. The most common antibiotics prescribed as dermatological drugs are minocyclin, erythromycin, and tetracycline.

isotretinoin is usually used when antibiotics cannot effectively control or treat acne and rosacea. Although it has been found that this drug is very effective in removing some of the worst skin conditions, including cystic acne, it is considered a dangerous drug. Doctors often monitor patients who are prescribed this medicine, as medicines can potentially cause mood disorders or other health problems. It is also known to cause congenital defects, which means that pregnant and nursing mothers are usually not prescribed this medicine and women in childbirth are not generally administered if it is not contraception.

For inflammatory skin conditions, such as eczema and psoriasis, often referred to as dermatitis conditions, corticosteroids are usually used to control inflammation and flare. These skin conditions, which can cause itching, red or ordered spots on almost any part of the body often develop at a young age. Corticosteroids are often used on a short -term basise potřeby ke snížení stávajících problémů a používají se také k léčbě kontaktní dermatitidy, což je alergická reakce na látku.

The conditions of dermatitis are also commonly treated by immunomodulators. These are specialized dermatological drugs that help control the reaction of the immune system to certain triggers. Since some of these dermatological problems are caused by the type of allergic reaction, these drugs may be beneficial in controlling the condition without complete suppression of the immune system.

Antihistamines are also commonly prescribed as dermatological drugs. These drugs block histamines from connecting to histamine receptors, as excess histamine is often the cause of certain inflammatory skin conditions. These drugs tend to work best in managing certain dermatological problems in the long run, as several are sufficiently safe to get used with limited side effects.
