What is the medical use of Rudbeckia Hirta?

Rudbeckia hirta , a common wild flower, which is also known as Susan with black eyes, is used for healing purposes for hundreds of years. Some Indian tribes used flower in the 18th century for medicinal treatment. For example, Cherokee used a cheerful looking flower to alleviate urinary tract infections and ears, as well as for gynecological problems. Rudbeckia Hirta was also traditionally used Cherokee for back pain and swelling and mixed it with other flowers such as fairy tale and hepatica. Some other tribes, including Iroquois and Seminol, used Rudbeckia Hirta for the treatment of snake and wounds. Other common uses include treatment of worms, fever, diarrhea, earaches and headaches.

The purple KONEFLOWER has its own healing use, including strengthening the immune system, and therefore often accepted it to avert the cold.
