Sebaceous Gland Cyst Resection Procedure
- Incision
- A fusiform incision is made on the surface of the cyst along the direction of the skin line, and the incision includes the skin adhering to the cyst.
- 2. Cyst removal
- After incision of the skin, expose the cyst, use hemostatic forceps or tissue forceps to clamp the skin adhering to the surface of the cyst, lift the cyst, use a scalpel or tissue scissors to sharply separate the cyst wall, and do not pierce the cyst wall as much as possible. Surface adhesion to the skin is removed.

Notes on Sebaceous Gland Resection
- 1. Carefully peel off the capsule wall and remove it completely. If the capsule wall remains, it can recur after surgery.
- 2. If the cyst is found to be infected during the operation, do not suture, drain gauze, and change dressing.
- 3. The capsule wall was accidentally ruptured during the operation, the fracture should be clamped, the exudate should be cleaned, and the operation should be continued.
Nursing after Sebaceous Gland Cyst Resection
- 1. Appropriate application of antibiotics to prevent infection.
- 2. If the rubber membrane is placed for drainage, remove it within 24 to 48 hours.
- Disconnect after 3.7 days.
