What is a drop of coughing?
Cough drop is a medicated candy, also called a lozenge that is designed to calm the neck irritation, such as cough or cold. Most drops of the chest include sugar, menthol, flavors and colors. Sugar varieties have added artificial sweeter and do not contain any sugar so that they can have diabetics. There are many popular brands in the United States, including Halls®, Fisherman's Friend®, Vicks®, CEPACOL® and Ricola®.
Ricola® is a Swiss brand Kašla drop, which includes herbal extracts with menthol in various flavors of coughs. Cepacol® drops include numbing analgesic, benzocaine, with menthol. The CEPACOL® brand is also available in the throat.
Vicks® Cough drops are manufactured by Procter and Gamble. These triangular drops are sold in boxes of 20 and are available in the taste of cherry or menthol. According to information on the box are drops of Vicks® Cough "Suppress Cough SuppressSant/Oral anesthetic." Cherry taste contains 1.7 mg menthol onA drop, while menthol tastes 3.3 mg menthol on a drop.
drops Fisherman's Friend® drops began with liquid form for the first time created by pharmacist James Lofthouse in 1865 for a fisherman working in Icelandic waters. A solid form of confectionery was created much later Lofthouse of Fleetwood, Lancashire in England and is now available in many different flavors in more than 100 countries. Like Vicks®, the Halls® label also identifies the product as "repressing cough/oral anesthetic". Halls® plus a drop of cough, released in 1990, has a syrup center. Halls without sugar® were introduced in 1994, followed by many other variations of Halls® coughs, such as a drop of vitamin C in 1999 and a new taste, kiwi-apple without sugar.
