- (1) Preoperative examination: If the retinal detachment has a hole, the position, shape and number of the hole and the surrounding omentum should be checked. The macular hole should be checked for distance, near vision (refractive if necessary), macular gaze function, the tone of the background of the hole under the slit lamp and the misalignment of the optical tangent. Retinal vascular disease and the changes caused by it should be described in detail and graphically indicated. It should be performed under fundus fluorescein angiography. Fundus photographs were taken before and after surgery.
