What Is a Sterile Solution?

Aseptic technology is a series of operating techniques to keep sterile items and sterile areas from being contaminated and prevent pathogenic microorganisms from invading the human body during medical care operations. Aseptic technology is an important and basic technology to prevent nosocomial infections. Medical staff must master it correctly and skillfully, and strictly abide by the operating procedures in technical operations to ensure the safety of patients and prevent the occurrence of iatrogenic infections.

Aseptic technology

Aseptic technology is the process of maintaining sterile items,
(I) Application of working cap
wore
Clinically used holding forceps (tweezers) include oval forceps, three-prong forceps and long and short forceps. Oval forceps: The handle of the forceps has two rings, and the fingers are put into the ring during use. The lower end (holding end) of the forceps has two small rings that can be used to clamp knives, scissors, forceps, forceps, treatment bowls and curved plates. Wait. Because the two rings are close to each other in parallel, they cannot hold heavy objects. Three-pronged forceps: similar in structure to oval forceps. The difference is that the lower end of the forceps is a trifurcation, which is curved inwardly. Used to grab pots, boxes, bottles, cans and other heavier items. Tweezers: The tips of the tweezers are small, and they are dexterous and convenient to use. Suitable for gripping small items such as cotton balls, cotton swabs, needles, syringes, needles, etc.
(1) The sterile holding forceps (tweezers) should be immersed in a sterile wide-mouth container containing a disinfection solution, and the liquid level should exceed 2-3cm above the shaft section or 1/2 of the forceps. The bottom of the container should be covered with sterile gauze, and the container mouth should be covered. Only one sterile holding forceps (tweezers) can be placed in each container. (2) When the sterile holding forceps (tweezers) are placed, the tip is closed, and the inner edge of the container and the container wall above the solution surface cannot be touched. Keep fingers away from the soaked area. Keep the tip down during use, do not turn upside down, so as not to contaminate the tip due to the backflow of disinfectant. Immediately put back into the container after use, and open the shaft joint. If distant sterile items are to be taken, the sterile holding forceps (tweezers) should be moved to the sterile items with the container and used. (3) Sterile holding forceps (tweezers) should not touch unsterilized items, and should not be used for changing medicine or disinfecting the skin. If it is contaminated or suspected, it should be re-sterilized. (4) Sterile holding forceps (tweezers) and its soaking container, regularly disinfect and sterilize, and replace the disinfection solution and gauze.
(5) How to use sterile containers
Sterile containers containing sterile items are called sterile containers. Such as sterile boxes, storage tanks, tanks, etc. Sterile containers should be sterilized once a week.
(6) How to use aseptic packs
Sterile cloth is a double-layer cloth made of thick, dense, non-absorbent cotton cloth. It can store instruments, dressings, and various technical operating objects, and it is used after sterilization. 1. Sterile packing method put the article in the middle of the cloth, the inner corner covers the article, and fold a small corner, and then fold the left and right corners (the corner tip is folded outward), cover the outer corner, and tie the strap Write the name of the item and the date of sterilization on the outside of the package. 2. How to open a sterile bag When taking a sterile bag, first check the name, date of sterilization, and whether it is opened and dry. Place the sterile bag on a clean and dry surface, unroll the straps and roll it under the cloth corner, and then open the left and right corners, and finally the inner corners. Be careful not to touch the inner surface of the cloth with your hands. Remove the required items with sterile forceps and place them in a prepared sterile area. If the contents of the bag are not used up at one time, wrap them according to the original crease, and indicate the time of opening the bag. The validity period is 24 o'clock. If the contents of the bag are accidentally contaminated or wet, they need to be sterilized again. When taking all the contents of the small bag, you can hold the bag in your hand and open it. Unfasten the ties, hold the sterile bag with one hand, and open the four corners of the cloth in turn with the other hand and insert it into the palm of the bag. Put the contents of the bag into the sterile container or sterile area (do not touch Container edge), cover well.
(7) Laying method of aseptic dish
The sterile treatment towel is laid in a clean and dry treatment tray, so that the inner surface is a sterile area, and sterile articles can be placed for use in treatment and nursing operations. The validity period does not exceed 4 hours. 1. Folding the sterile treatment towel Fold the double-layer cotton treatment towel horizontally twice, and then fold it inward, and fold the opening edges outward and align respectively. 2. The method of laying sterile treatment towels: The outer corners of the two openings of the treatment towels are spread out in a double layer, and the treatment towels are spread from the distal end to the proximal end in the treatment disc. Hold the upper side of the treatment towel with two hands and fold the three layers in a fan shape upward with the outer corners facing inward. 3. Take the required sterile items into the sterile area, cover the upper layer of sterile towels, align the upper and lower edges, and fold the excess back upward.
(8) The method of retrieving sterile solution
Take a sterile solution bottle, wipe off the dust, check the label, check whether the bottle cap is loose, whether the bottle wall is cracked, and whether the solution is precipitated, turbid, discolored, and flocculent. Meet the requirements before use. Remove the aluminum cap for conventional disinfection of the stopper, and rotate and sterilize with the side position of the bottle label as a starting point, and then use the sterile holding forceps to flip the edge of the stopper upward to sterilize again. Lift the bottle cap with sterile holding forceps, and use your other index and middle fingers to pull into the rubber stopper cap and pull it out. First pour a small amount of solution into the curved plate to rinse the bottle mouth, and then pour the solution out of the original place into a sterile container; when the solution is poured, the bottle label is facing up. When the sterile solution is not used up once, sterilize and stopper the bottle as usual, and indicate the bottle opening time.
(9) How to wear sterile gloves
1. Wash and dry hands with sterile gloves. Check glove number and expiration date. Open the glove bag, apply talc powder to your hands, and avoid the sterile area. The gloves can be removed separately or simultaneously. Use both hands to pinch the outer layer of the mouth of the bag, open it, and hold the glove to turn over the folded part (the inside of the glove) and take it out; Insert the gloved finger into the folded surface of the other glove (outside the glove) and remove it. Wear the other glove in the same way. Do not pull hard when wearing the glove. Finally, fold the two gloves over the sleeves of the work clothes. Note that there is a sterile area on the outside of the glove and it should be kept sterile. After putting on the gloves, put your hands on your chest to avoid contamination. 2. Take off the gloves and flip the gloves over. Do not pull the edges or fingers of the gloves with force.
