What is Boswellia Cream?

Boswellia Cream is a face cream on the market to those who want to prevent or reduce the effects of aging on the skin. It is derived from the sap of Boswellia, also known as incense. The incense has a long history of use in medicine and is now being investigated as possible treatment of arthritis. The peel of the plant is cut in several places, so the resin drips and hardens into the "tears". Tears are then collected for use in incense and cosmetics. When resin is clean, it is edible and is commonly prescribed for digestive and skin in Asia.

The history of Boswellia cream, which is used as a skin treatment, comes from the tradition of incense, which is kept sacred in Egypt. Although the exact time at first traded in the first time is difficult to determine, it was reportedly used broadly in the religial ritual before the birth of Christ. Around the 4th century Anno Domini (AD) ended trade in the incense in response to the growth of Christianity. Biblical accounts state that incense was brought to the child as a gift to indicate the beginning of a new lifea.

Although the consistency of Boswellia cream varies depending on what the manufacturer decides to put into it, the cream often carries the smell of incense to its production. It can be heavy and greasy in consistency. Such creams are designed for moistening dry skin or for use as a night cream applied before bed. Although the cream is named for incense, it has another ingredient. Other natural herbs such as Wolfberry can also be used in it.

Although messages from those who use this cream differ, there has been no formal study to see if incense actually helps minimize wrinkles. None of the ingredients in Boswellia Cream is known by collagen production, a protein that helps maintain elastic skin and without wrinkles. There was some success in studying Boswellia cream to alleviate inflammatory diseases. This gives the consequences that the cream can be used to treat disorders such as arthritis, inflammationintestines and asthma. Another component found in cream can also facilitate the flow of nutrients and oxygen in the skin.
