What is the general zoloft?
Generic Zoloft® is an antidepressant, better known as its chemical name, sertraline hydrochloride. The first main trade name Serrtraline was Pfizer's Zoloft® and is therefore often often referred to as generic Zoloft®, although not produced by Pfizer. In general, in the modern world, drugs are developed by a pharmaceutical society that purchases a patent for it and produces a drug under the trader. Because it holds an exclusive patent, they are often able to achieve a great profit over their production costs. In this case, the Pfizer patent has expired in 2006, allowing the production of generic Zoloft® to produce other manufacturers at much lower costs. The differences between generic Zoloft® and other generic antidepressants, such as Generic Prosec®, are relatively small. In some cases, one drug may be more effective, in others it may be less effective and side effects may differ from situation to patient to patient. Therefore, it is difficult to say whether any modern antidepressant is"Better" than another, and many patients try more drugs than settled on one.
As with many antidepressants, there is an apparent connection between the adoption of generic Zoloft® and an increased level of suicide. However, because this increase seems to be quite slight, it is difficult to say whether it is statistically significant. As a result, there is a matter of claiming whether sertalin or other modern antidepressants actually cause suicide.
sertalin can be prescribed for a wide range of mental diseases, in addition to depression, including post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorders, social anxiety disorder and panic disorder. In many treatments, sertalin performs slightly better than placebo, but because the side effects are relatively small and complications are rare, yet it is often prescribed. Even in cases where other options may be available, many patients decide for general zoloFT® due to the large amount of research surrounding it and knowledge of the trade name.
Side effects in the use of sertaline include nausea, insomnia, dizziness, tremor, diarrhea, reduced libido and ejaculation failure. Of these, only nausea, insomnia and diarrhea tend to cause patients to stop taking a medicine with any frequency. People are just starting to take sertalin often also report Akathisia, which is the inability to stay calm, but it can usually be corrected by reducing the dose. However, this correction is important because it is believed that the connection between many antidepressants and suicide is directly associated with Akathisia.Patients taking sertaline are strongly recommended that their dosage should be reduced for a period of time before the treatment is completely stopped. Patients who simply stop taking sertaline can experience serious withdrawal symptoms, including bad dreams, rage, random crying, headache, prolonged anxiety, nervousness and dizziness. It is suggested for patients on sertalineThey consulted with a psychiatrist before the dosage change to avoid these negative effects.
