What are epaules?

Epaulets are fantasy, lined with ornaments that are seen on the shoulders of military officers in uniform full of dresses and regular uniforms of some services such as the French foreign legions.

Epaulets are a French invention that comes from the French word epaul for the "shoulder". On the days of binoculars and uniforms in the style of "fatigue", soldiers had to be able to identify their officers in the heat of the fight. Eputets with their edge are evident from a distance and help identify officers. Over the years, conventions have changed whether to wear epaules on the right shoulder, left shoulder or both shoulders, and the French decided that the eraules should be worn on both shoulders of the officers.

In the United States, military officers followed the French style of Epaulettes only late in the civil war. After that time, however, became less popular. The British found that the epouulets, impressively looking as they are, can see snipers and an average soldier or nAmořník. When it was obvious that the snipers had picked up officers because their epouulets were visible, the British armed forces removed them from the uniform. The United States Army probably removed them for the same reason. Epaules are still sometimes seen in the most formal uniforms.

Epaules were also used as a fashion statement for women's dress. Women's dresses were often common to reflect uniforms when their countries are in war. Touches, such as gold braid and brass buttons on clothing, strengthen this appearance, and women wore epouulets on a formal dress to provide military air. The designers sometimes still incorporate this most famous insignia into their couture.

Over the past 200 years, eraules have come to mean a splendid military authority of the joined states, and someone will often wear excessive erasets for comic effect. Epaulets how special, how ny nyHowever, they may seem, but once served an important purpose for the men who wore them and for men under their authority.
