What are honey ants?

They have referred to several different types of ants who have an unusual appearance and a set of behavior, which makes them quite remarkable. These insects, which are also called Replets and Honepot ants, do not just ride and collect small pieces of food to transfer back to their nests. Instead, they fill the abdomen with a huge amount of food that look like small passing honey pots. The collection types of ants are then able to feed the rest of the ants of colonies by extraction of this food, water or proteins from their expanded abdomen. Their appearance is incredibly obvious, because you notice an extremely swollen abdomen and the size of the "honey pot" may be similar to the grape or icing, but often the amber color is translucent. Each independent family of honey ants has a size change. Not all of the colony will have a large swollen abdomen. Usually they are female workers of a certain size that reduce and collect food while smaller women take care of the Queen of Ant whoEvery society rules, and men usually serve a much minimal role to connect with the queen and then quietly and quickly expired.

It is difficult to describe the behavior of ants as a whole because there are so many different types. For example, there are night and day groups, and diet will depend a lot on available insects and sources of plants. Most of these ants live in desert or dry areas and are in many places in the world.

One ant, called a small honey ant, which has the extent of America, is sometimes called a false honey ant. It should not be confused with Honeypot's ants and does not expose the abdomen storage food Behaviors most honey ants. Instead, it is a very common insect that loves sweet things, and it is for many kitchens when they do raids on things like honey and sugar. If you have ever attacked some of your sweet meals, inElmi you have encountered fake honey.

On the other hand, the true honey ants have a more limited extent and are more likely to occur in dry areas. In general, cooler temperatures cannot survive, where fake honey ants appear to benefit. These ants have also become an occasional goal of human populations because they contain small amounts of honey. It is known that indigenous populations in Australia and its surrounding continent and groups in North America and Mexico dig nests, quickly suck honey from full ants, and press ants to extract their honey, according to Eva Crane in her 1999 book.
