What are boondocks?
boondocks or boonies is a term that is usually associated with a distant area that is sparsely populated, such as country outside cities or cities. The current use of the word is sometimes intended to refer to the country area, which is not only remote but also backward or outdated in technology or thinking. However, wider use simply refers to a place that remains largely undeveloped for something other than agriculture.
The exact origin of Boondocks is unclear. One of the ordinary theories is that the word is the Americanized version of the tagalog word jacket , which concerns mountains. According to this theory, American soldiers serving in the Philippines during World War II created a sentence and handed over British forces in this area. This sentence was to refer to the Philippines, where the enemy could have been successfully hidden in the mountains and remained by allied forces.

But not everyone uses Boondocks to link to the desirable geographical location. The term is often used to describe an area that is considered backward and is just ashamed to be uninhabitable. The description may be based on the fact that the place in question is far from any capital or even the IFicant. In other cases, this may refer to the lack of technology in this area. For example, a person who is used to using a cable modem or other broadband applications for internet connection, mConsider a remote area that is operated by dial services only for "boondocks".
This term can also be used to indicate an area where it is assumed that persons have political, social or religious views that are not progressive. When using a derogatory way, Boondocks usually mean a lower state rather than a geographical placement.
